I'm beginning to suspect that urban areas as well as coastal communities breed a different species than other parts of the nation. These urbanites and coastal dwellers seem incapable of living as free men and women. They will not take responsibility for themselves and are horrified by the prospect of allowing the rest of us to do so. Put another way, freedom is an anathema to them.
