I can only repeat the response I made a few minutes ago to a similar post about San Francisco by Lt Col Charlie Brown I have at one time or another visited all but a couple of America's "greatest" cities including several times in San Francisco. They are now America's Ghettos. Today, I prefer to visit them in my memories. I have no desire to ever again step foot in any of them, not even Los Angeles which is but an hour's drive away. Those are places for people unlike me. People who are willing to trade individual liberty for freedom from responsibility. People who would either relieve themselves in the street or sit by and ignore others doing it, even in front of their children. They are beyond redemption until they decide they've had enough and are ready, willing, and able to redeem themselves and rejoin America

LTC David Brown: I live in San Francisco. This is truly disturbing. But, I am happy and elated about the solution!

Just enforce laws! If people have addiction problems or are mentally ill get them help. Ignoring their destructive behavior is not “compassionate “.

LTC David Brown - I wholeheartedly agree, David. A lot of the homeless-in San Francisco-are mentally ill.
