As a civilian I can never know what war is like. Many of my best friends are veterans, in fact I keep in touch with more veterans than I do civilians. I see what deployment has done to them, and some deal with it better than others, but like so many forgotten warriors there are a few I know personally who struggle with the transition. Does anyone agree with this article or have any thoughts on the matter?

One thing we forget in all this is the individual mil/ vet. Lots of coverage for organizations, DOD, VA, claims, Etc but very little on options to directly focus on mil/ vets.

Not to mention the tragedy of the number of veterans on the streets who can't be reached simply because people/organizations don't know who/where they are/how to contact them or they (the vets) simply believe help can't be found :(
