Secret Service reeling after sex scandals, social media embarrassments, director's ousting

Somewhere during the Obama Administration the USSS went sideways. They apparently haven’t fixed its issues with the current Administration. I worked with them closely during the Clinton and early Bush administrations and found them to be highly competent professionals. I don’t know why they went sideways.
