Don't get me wrong, doing good things for the camera is better than not doing good things at all. And FAR better than getting caught doing bad things on camera.

But it is SOOOOO convenient that the camera crew was there. Almost like it was a planned publicity operation. Oh wait.... it WAS a planned publicity operation.

Things like this feel far more like they are about boosting the profile of the individual than they are about doing any actual good. This isn't about helping it is about being SEEN helping. As I said, it's better than doing nothing at all.

But not by much.
