The protests in 1969 were a lot larger and a lot more damaging than what we saw recently. Probably relatives or siblings of the same people though. However, California has Governor "moonbeam" right now, not likely to see the same response.

Yep, the Old Man did the wisest thing that any civil minded individual would do. And he did it right. I remember when our 1st MarDiv returned from the sands of Saudi/Kuwait in 1991 there was a riot going on in LA. Needless to say our CG gave the word to have our 1st LAV BN reenforced with some grunts unit to calm the animals that was causing the ruckus and mayhem. As always leave to the Marines. Alls well ends well.

The Honorable Mr. Reagan did not mess around- and other world leaders knew it. When he flexed, they blinked. IMO, that's what we need again- gear up Devil Dogs, maybe it's time to release the hounds!
