Okay, you have to use your firearm in a self-defense situation. As the smoke clears a "bad guy" is down and his partner is now wounded but in the wind. You have called 911, with the Police about five minutes out, but your situation is now going to get more complicated. Are you ready for the legal and civil consequences of you having defended yourself? Do you have the funds on hand to defend yourself from any expenses you may have to pay to maintain your freedom and your good name? Its very unfortunate that we live in a time when we actually may need to purchase insurance, simply to protect our freedoms after defending our life and property. Unfortunately, we live in a sue happy society that can easily turn a victim into a criminal simply by getting the media on their side and having enough money in the bank to buy a good lawyer. I simply hope that I never find myself in that situation. If I do, well, I guess I will have to deal with it when the time comes. Am I going to buy insurance? Not likely.
