If our POTUS is going to ignore his advice, and even make major military decisions without even touching base with him, then he serves no purpose in his position. I'd leave too.....would have quite some time ago. The three generals were his best cabinet picks....now all will be gone....replaced by Trump "yes" men. Not a good development for our country.

He resigned today in a letter. Given yesterday's and today's Tweets, he had no choice. SSgt Gary Andrews

Who's the third General, McMasters? Mattis and Kelly, also Dunford. All are on their way out or gone. Just don't say "Lock Her Up!" Flynn. He's awaiting sentencing.

I read his letter online. A few of the thinly veiled jabs at Trump include alienation of allies along with wrong approach in dealing with Russia and China.

Read: Defense Secretary James Mattis’s resignation letter laying out his disagreements with Trump...
Mattis made clear the president does not share his views on alliances and authoritarianism.
