Senate Votes to Override President Obama's Veto of 9/11 Bill

The Senate has not overridden a President's Veto since 1983. It voted 97 to one against the veto, paving the way for a showdown in the House of Representatives. POTUS will now have to gain votes in favor of his veto in the lower house to stop this action. If the lower house also votes against his veto the bill will become law.

Its an election year and the Senators (democrats and republicans) are trying to look good. Don't be shocked when/if the House just barely votes against the over-ride. That way they can look strong for their constituents while still taking money from the Saudi's.

Now that was a major smack down. But many Senators are running for reelection, Obama is not. Harry Reid would not have let this happen if there wasn't some sort of agreement.
