seems like the choir changes their tune depending on who is in office.
One thing Trump said early on is that if and when he took military action it would be a surprise and not broadcast for days before. Given the apparent lack of confidentiality in DC I cannot imagine trying to maintain secrecy of an operation if it had been presented to Congress.
