Senators push to limit transfer of military-grade equipment to police

Excellent. I don't see a need for a department to have an MRAP.

No doubt not all of the items listed are needed at local police departments. I am unaware of an armor piercing firearm though I certainly know of ammunition to accomplish that end. This started long before our time in the sense that police were out gunned during prohibition. The need to put them on even ground was widely recognized. I am unaware of bayonets, grenades or launchers being used. If they are I need to be educated on when the police have used them.
