Ok lets be honest here.....does anyone know WHY they wore those gold outfits? I wonder if the Navy used this as a recruiting tool like "In the Navy" from the Village People?

Have to admit I watched this group for a number of years while it was on TV. Always took them as a serio-comic act riffing off on the best of the times with over the top costumes and such Now I have to resort to youtube.

Sir, could you imagine the protests that would happen if we took 70's shows and played them as written today? Blazing Saddles would have folks crying, protesting, and trying to find Mongo.
