The SHARE Military Initiative at Shepherd Center is a comprehensive rehabilitation program that focuses on assessment and treatment for active duty or separated service members who have served in the U.S. military since September 11, 2001 and who are experiencing symptoms of or have a diagnosis of mild to moderate brain injury, or concussions and any co-occurring psychological or behavioral health concerns, including post-traumatic stress.

I am a clinical psychologist and professor, and conduct research on combat trauma as far back as Korea to the current conflicts. Indeed their biopsychosocial clinical presentations are complex. In addition many exhibit compacted grief which is rarely assessed in treatment. And you know that those who participate in combat are at high risk of suicide. we lose 20 comrades per day; and only 6 are followed by VAC?
So I support these kinds of holistic interventions.
