I am here at Ft Leavenworth. From my understanding, somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of all inmates in the DB and JRCF are here for child porn, or internet solicitation or something similar.

Hard to believe this stuff still goes on, since whether this particular person is found guilty or not, there's obviously still a wider issue of it everywhere. When I got to Peterson AFB in 1999, two Captains were charged in quick succession through an El Paso County sting in online chat rooms, accused of trying to get with an underage person that was, in fact, an investigator (usual story nowadays, it was pretty new back then). During my time there, I help facilitate a reservist's exit from the uniform from what was initially thought to be inappropriate behavior toward minor children (never got to prove that) but turned into a massive FWA and dereliction of duty issue with hundreds of grossly inappropriate pictures stored on his GIS.

And that was just my little corner of the world.

I don't get why people think that, in this day and age especially with how much surveillance is done online, that they could ever possibly get away with it in the long run. Although, I guess they sort of do, by and far. But how much someone is willing to risk to satisfy a perversion is beyond me.

If he is found Guilty they should crucify him or Keel Haul him i'm good ether way. I can think of few things worse than the people that perpetrate this crime against children. Would be nice if they were simple removed from the world.
