I was on just starting my day in California when a friend emailed me about a plane hitting the World Trade Center, so I kicked on the TV and watched as the attack took effect, like millions of other folks.

PO3 Ellsworth Allen Westgate wow memory lane, I was stationed at FT. Lewis, WA it was about 6 in the morning, I was out running a Defensive Live Fire Exercise as the Battalion Ammunition NCOIC for the exercise. I had to go back to garrison from the range to put some residue in a trailer. I notice I-5 was backed up for miles, I found out by the radio, thereafter!

I was working at the Grand Canyon, just woke up getting ready for work turned on the news and about 5 minutes later a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. My first thought was " WOW gatta catch that movie" then the news kept rolling and I thought this cant be real? Then as the second plane came in ..."BAM" it struck me like lightning .... the USA is being attacked by Russia. I had to get to work and everybody had there own ideals .. all on the same page were at war "NOW" this is for real.
I thought for sure the USA would be at War within the week .... but we went through whole year before the US attacked. I still think we should have taken more aggressive action, but its all said and done. Now 15 years later watching a different angle of a new video that's popped up, unbelievable. It still gives me a knots in the gut.
