Should I use hi octane premium petrol, and what is octane rating?

Interesting. Some people think regular and premium are interchangeable.

most interesting... in the old days SUNOCO 260 was 100 octane and best for racing...

I just say, if the car doesn't say use X fuel on the gas cap, or you're not tuned for it, use 87. Otherwise you're wasting money.
