SIG SAUER to NJ State Police: Blame Your Cheap Ammo, Not Us - The Truth About Guns

Its not uncommon for a police/LE dept to opt to purchase cheaper ammo for firing range (or even duty ammo) if it means saving some green. The dept I used to work for did this until we rose Hell due to all the misfires the crap ammo was causing on the range. The admin said it was because we switched from the Beretta 92 to the S&W M&P. Both were 9mm & we used Remington for duty rounds, but the admin thought they could just go get whatever was cheapest for firing range. They, too, blamed it on the gun until we had them come out to fire; yes, the admin hallway rarely ever fired their weapons. Our 2 captains spent a combined 1.5 years on the road before they were "promoted" to desk jobs.

I have two Glocks and I have tried everything except reloads. So far no problems. Also have a Sig, but haven't abused it as much.

And the weird way they '50 mission crush' their service caps by wearing the chin straps over the top. They look like the minions in a Marvel Comics movie.

Like the way the Gestapo creeped out Jews in Germany in the 30's and 40's.
