PO1 William "Chip" Nagel It amazes me how far the technology has come since the 1950's.

CW3 Michael Bodnar My Cultural Shock was Much Quicker. I was taught on Glorified WWII Equipment 1950's Equipment in A-School. My First Command I was assigned to CINCPACFLT working with a State of the Art PDP-11/70 Computer.

CW3 Michael Bodnar - Oh Yeah, I could Read Baudot (I had to Read it at 50 Char's a Minute to get out of A-School) and I Could Type 35 WPM on a Mod 28 Electro Mechanical TTY with 95 Percent Accuracy, Had to do that for My CTO1 Pars. LOL! Now the Only Place I've Seen a Mod 28 TTY is in the Smithsonian.
