This is a petition to sign into law an order that would assist families and LEO/first responders in locating and assisting veterans who have displayed signs of suicidal tendencies, or have disappeared and have projected thoughts/signs of being suicidal. Bear in mind this is a rough draft, and will be amended and modified as it proceeds through the process, so input is always welcome, and we would greatly appreciate your support. This petition also provides a statute to offer a certain amount of protection through a veteran court for something snv may have said or done in while under the influence of depression and suicidal thoughts. It does not, however, offer exemption from a violent crime or felony, mainly covering attempting suicide by pills, alcohol, etc., something the civilian courts would be willing to allow a veterans court to handle without taking rights and privileges away from snv., and allowing that court to hold snv liable to seek treatment and therapy through our family and options available.
