While there's a lot to be said for end-to-end encryption, I keep wondering about the not-so-good guys (and gals) who use apps like signal to hide their activities from legitimate requirements, like parole compliance, or just want to be able to lure kids with impunity. I know we can't have it both ways, or can we?

The folks over at NSA never disclose how good (or bad) their code cracking actually is. So how can we actually determine how good (or bad) our encryption real is? NSA = Never Say Anything

This was a precursor, as i recall the fast factoring involved reducing the number space, hence the number of candidate factors... i'll keep looking
