Sikorsky Flies Triple Threat For FVL: Light, Medium, & Robot

Maybe I'm just old fashion... but I don't trust anything that's not a traditional helicopter.

Not only are these the fastest helicopters, but the push prop can reverse feather and stop on a dime. Critical for mimimum insertion time to maximize the surprise factor. The "stiff" counter rotating main rotors give it the best stability at the speeds they are looking for too. Then add in the new dual-spool compressor technology for the engines giving dramatically increased horsepower and fuel economy while not increasing the engines weight or profile and these helicopters will represent a paradigm shift in what we think helicopters can do. It will make current platforms beyond obsolete as soon as they go into production. I'm sure there are other technologies in the works that have not been reported on yet either! Incredible, exciting times for rotary wing aircraft!
