SSgt Ray Stone I am torn on this one. What she said is horrible. What she took to the school was stupid. No denying those two elements. Where I am torn is in the moving quickly to remove her based on what she said. The other thing that is not clear in the article is whether she was arrested and then the weapons and pot were found, or if she was arrested because those items were reported. If she was arrested for making a stupid racist comment, and then they found the weapons, I would say that is shady, regardless of the end result. She did not make an actual threat. She did not say that she was going to shoot the students who walked out. So while what she said shows her to be a horrible person, it is her right to make the comment. I really wonder about the family. First her brother shoots up a church, then she hopes for violence against black students? KKK Family of the year material right there. So while I do not agree with her sentiment, and think she is likely the lowest form of life on earth, she does still have the right to spew it. Part of the problem we are developing in this country is that anything we disagree with we want silenced. I think it is important to keep freedom of speech free, even if I totally disagree with what was said. So as I said torn between the blatantly shitty human being that she is got what she deserved, and the right she has to be a blatantly shitty and stupid human being. Now I really think she should be banned from seeing her brother, his execution, or attending his funeral as that could push her from racist to violent racist.
