This is about a deadly case of Stolen Valor. He was also a Constable.
Kirk Figueroa claimed to have served eight years in the Army Reserve, but, according to the Army, he never attended basic training.
The Boston constable who was killed in a shootout with police officers on the evening of Oct. 12 appears to have grossly exaggerated his military service in order to build a career in private security.

SGT (Join to see) the proper background checks years ago might have prevented him from coming to this point. Although it's kind of scary because he got a hardship discharge, only worked at a corrections facility for a week, the bouncing from job to job indicates issues that no one seemed to notice. I wonder if he was mentally ill?
