Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for sharing an unclassified version of the deadliest sniping missions. It reminds me when I told my son as he was being inducted to 3rd Bn 75th Ranger Regt in April 2008 to be careful what he talked or wrote about. I spent some time talking with a sniper or two in that regiment who described the patience required to, for instance, wait until two bad guys were lined up in front of a fuel drum so that single .50 cal sniper round cut those two guys in half and the exploding flames took at a bunch more. Needless to say I will not mention the operation. :-)

Great stuff. These stories are always incredible. Definitely not the most common stories, but incredible none the less.
