Thank you my friend SGT (Join to see) for reminding us that on August 14, 1935 President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed into law the Social Security Act which created Social Security which ostensibly is "a federal safety net for elderly, unemployed and disadvantaged Americans. The main stipulation of the original Social Security Act was to pay financial benefits to retirees over age 65 based on lifetime payroll tax contributions."
Most of us realize that the investment scheme for social security is minimally efficient.

The Government video I posted is interesting in comparison to the current situation 'New Deal' This is a day National consecration .. I am certain that on this day I will address .. a decision which the present I am prepared the measures in stricken nation in a stricken world. These measures and other measures which Congress will ... If Congress fails to pass, I will ask the Congress for broad executive power to wage a war against the current emergency as great as if we were invaded by a foreign foe.

What Led A President To Create Social Security For All
"This documentary was paid for by the United States government in the 1930s. I am impressed by the script and kept it in my collection for that reason. The Great Depression. A miserable time for most Americans. Roosevelt's inaugural speech was particularly powerful in light of how Americans felt lost and needed something substantial to uplift them. As a young documentary filmmaker I studied older documentaries like this to get a sense of the power of script to lead the development of a story."

I was afraid it was going to run out of money by 2042 but I wouldn't be surprised that it will be broke by 2030. I am not happy that president trump does not want to take out payroll taxes and that we are taking so much money out to support the economy. We will have to eventually raise taxes.
