Good timing - I read this article the other day:

Very interesting documentary series on Netflix, ISLANDS OF THE FUTURE about energy problems being solved on islands that have traditionally brought in diesel fuel by tankers to fuel their electric grid.
The big problem with wind and solar is how do you store the energy when production exceeds demand; because sooner or later, (usually on a daily basis) demand will exceed production. The series also shows that wind, solar, and tidal power generation are not without their own set of "environmental" costs.

Maj John Bell Completely agree. Those issues are being dealt with over time but nothing is perfect.

SPC Kevin Ford - Oh I'm neither for or against alternative energy sources. I am a pragmatist. Regardless of what people say, we (almost every single person on Earth) have an ever increasing demand for "energy". In the end environmental concerns are window dressing. The "green" that will most likely shape the future is greenbacks.
