I feel sorry for this poor soldier whose stupid mistake nearly cost him his life. Now the Army is trying to deny him benefits saying that the accident was not in the line of duty. Many soldiers have done stupid things while drinking, myself included. Seems like too many people were involved in this. How do you all feel about him losing benefits? The case is now before the Secretary of the Army.

What about leading an example for service members. That is all I would ask of any service member.

A1C Ian Williams, although I agree with you in principle, young soldiers are not the leaders. They are the ones who are LEARNING to lead. If you've never done anything you've been ashamed/embarrassed about after drinking as a young Airman, then you know that you were the exception.
