Left: "Donald Trump is going to start a nuclear war with North Korea!!!"
Right: "Actually, it looks like there might be peace on the Korean penisula."
Left: "Well, if there is, Trump had nothing to do with it."
Right: "Actually, the South Korean president thinks Trump should get the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts."
Left: "No no no no no no no no no no no aaurrggghhh..."

I would like to see the outcome(s) of the meeting with Trump and Un first. If this is going down the path it appears, de-nuclearized NK, peace between North and South and possible release of prisoners etc. I do not know how you could not at least consider Trump for one. Obama was awarded his for actually achieving nothing, only talking about achieving things.
There can be little doubt that if the NK plan works out it was Trumps tough talk, sanctions, working with China and likely a host of other diplomatic activities, that made it happen. That will make the progressive's heads explode but it will be the truth should it come to fruition.

Since at least Bill Clinton, the name of the game with respect to nK has been words, not deeds. Obama demonstrated his unwillingness to back up his "red line" BS in Syria. It took Trump to put teeth (twice now) in Obama's words. Much as the pansy left would like to think otherwise, this is a hard, cruel world we live in. Walking loudly and carrying no stick ... gets one nothing. IMV, Trump's willingness to spank the recalcitrant ... be it with steel on target, trade sanctions, or import duties ... coupled with his feisty nature in general ... have brought us to where we are with nK. I don't think that Kim Jung Un took his choo-choo to Beijing at the end of March to have tea with Xi. I think Xi paddled his chubby butt and told him that rattling sabers was one thing ... but screwing up China's trade and political relationship with the U.S. was quite another. Further, Kim Jung Un has made Xi look ineffective on the world stage ... as Trump has painted Xi as unable to control his neighbor. I'd bet a fair amount of not-so-spare change that Kim Jung Un finally crossed Xi's "red line" ... and like Trump, Xi did something about it.

I agree. Hopefully the Nobel Committee learned their lesson with their award to President Obama, and they agree

I’m sure the haters will try to find a way to credit Obama for our progress so far.
