The Four lane that runs past Cross Creek, don't remember the Highway number, runs right through the spot that during the 'Nam era was called the "Gabriel Demonstration Area" It was a training area for Special Forces, patrolling in Viet-Nam, including booby traps, Pungy pits, snipers in the trees, a mock up village, tunnels, and at the end was buffet of the things the Green Beret would eat while in the field. It was Great.
