Here's my $.02- The whole point (relative to self-defense) is to stop the imminent threat to life-not score your best grouping. Everything is relative. If there's one threat... or three, that matters. If the fight's at ten yards, five yards... or six inches, THAT matters. How "accurate" are you on the ground, shooting weak-hand, etc. Can you score a hit as soon as the weapon's out of retention? I've heard it like this, "you have the rest of your life to take the shot"...guess it all comes down to how long a lifespan you have in the gunfight.
