Infiltration tactics - well planned - and rehearsed - still succeed - even in an age where over confidence in total air superiority and total intelligence suv seem to have doomed such efforts. It is yet again the Taliban teaching and reteaching a lesson. How to conduct an operation that even if defeated tactically --- becomes a strategic victory. Such an operation forces an opponent to spread their forces out to defend everything -- and have less forces to conduct offensive operations. It is a critical lesson for small nations that have bigger enemies - and one we should not be forgetting again.
