I bet he'd have a change of heart if it was his child or very close relative draped by it

I stand for the flag and the Anthem. I rarely think about the good things they mean to me. I like to think about Clarence Sasser, LTC Charles Calvin Rogers, and 1LT John Warren. Those men were genuine hero who served something other than their own self interest. You cannot separate their sacrifices from the meaning of the flag, you have to take it as the package it comes in. Shame that we do not honor these men individually, that young people are learning of millionaire crybabies as opposed to men like these. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/Clarence_Sasser_speaking_2010.jpg

I've started my own counter protest. So many young people have no role models. They have no exposure to examples of extraordinary people performing extraordinary tasks for selfless reasons. I view Medal of Honor Recipients as pretty much the epitome of service to fellow man. In every case their actions were entirely selfless resulting in pain and sacrifice towards a greater good. Also, in every case their specific actions resulted in saving lives without regard to any of the ridiculous discriminators so often used to categorize people. In every case those heroes would have affirmed the right to protest the flag. Yet in every case they in part made their sacrifices for the flag and what it stands for. I honor the flag because they are who they are and did what they did. Rather than teaching kids role models of drug pushers, murderers, abusers, and generally people who serve no interest other than their own self, an appropriate protest would be to read a Medal of Honor Citation and to remind all of the audience that person was an example of what we should strive to be. Just my opinion

Of course FOX will announce that in no way do the opinions of Sharpe reflect those of Fox Sports 1 or FOX networks. I would hope that FOX take action to remove this poor excuse for an American newscaster, be he black white blue or purple, from the air. It is further disappointing because FOX is the least left leaning major network, and the only news that I personally watch. Where do we who do not lean to the left go now?
