I've heard of animal abuse being an early indicator of many types of abherent behavior. It would be interesting seeing a scholarly work covering the full scope of this subject

My wife and I have been into rescue and rehoming for many years. The link between child animal abusers and other forms of abuse in later life is something the rescue community has been aware of and worried about for a while now. It's good to see convicted abusers getting jail time at the Federal level, and rehab.
