I guess that could be taken as a double entendre. But I actually just mean it literally.
I'm thinking the people of his district are unlikely to support a switch hitter, but maybe his principles are something they believe in.

According to the article, it's a district that leans Republican, which Trump won in 2016. I think Van Drew got elected partly because the media was still pushing the Russian collusion lie, and partly because he campaigned on getting stuff done and not impeaching the president. I think there's a decent chance his district will support him, but I have no idea who he might be running against.
