A chance to strengthen the underlying value system first created in the 60s, and they turn it, yet again, into a "phasers on full, fire away" action series. Yes, I'll watch it. No, I do not appreciate the shallowness of direction this is headed. <sigh/>

SGT (Join to see) Interesting. First series since JJ Abrams' reboot of the series. I hope that they have good writing. Star Trek fans are like Star Wars fans in that they are very protective of their franchise. Science fiction shows of this type don't seem to last very long nowadays. They cannot slap the Star Trek name on it, and presume the fans will be loyal. They better have some substance to it.
