I like the F-22. It's an impressive bird. If the superpowers are gearing up again, we may wish we had produced more, even though the F-15 is still a capable frame.

SSgt (Join to see) It is going to come down to who has better overall radar coverage, analysis, and detection. When you have aircraft that can launch their missiles from beyond the horizon, the plane that is seen and identified first loses. Not only loses, but the missile that kills it hits before the pilot knows he is under attack. Because of that I think the U.S. still holds the advantage whether it is the F-22, F-15, F/A-18, F-16, or even the F-35.

Plus our pilots are actually very experienced to which will make the difference because they either been to combat or directly learned from those that have.
