This is only relating to the UCMJ, though. I'd say the majority of people who participate in "stolen valor" are already out and don't fall under any of the UCMJ rules.

This is not just a UCMJ issue. If you get caught by a cop who is a veteran or a police department that has a vet in charge they will put you in jail for stolen valor.
