Yeah, I'd always thought that'd make a great film, there was a novel by Jack Higgins similar to that, called the Valhalla Exchange, though that was fiction, and didn't involve joint US German troops, though it was set in a castle, with similarly high level prisoners called prominenti, if I can find a link, I'll send it in, you should be able to find it, though, realize, of course, it's fiction, this story was obv true, of course....
