Our society has taken steps in the direction of limiting free speech itself through the auspices of the political correctness rule of not hurting anyone's feelings through the use of words and art. The threat of being labeled as not being politically correct and in some cases a "terrorist" for expressing one's views, is in it's self a violation of the first amendment.
Will the push for political correctness leave our leaders in a state of being ineffective, as they try to please the masses? *The call for her to resign by the student body of UTC has also met opposition and has since retracted their request. *
No matter which side one is for or against on any issue, freedom of expression is paramount in it's importance for reaching a common ground, it is there to allow the voice of the minority to be heard *protected*.

Is anyone surprised that a college student would meet with the displeasure of their peers for harboring an unpopular idea? Can she be forced to resign? I suspect not, but I also suspect that there are provisions in the student government for a recall election? Will she be recalled? Possibly. Probably. However, if recalled for harboring an unpopular opinion, one that flies in the face of the propaganda being force fed to students these days, I hope she'll wear it with pride. I'd be proud of her. No, not for supporting Trump. That's her choice. Rather I'd be proud for her courage. It's an uncommon commodity in today's politically correct world, isn't it? In fact, political correctness could not exist if courage was more common.

CPT Jack Durish As I said the student body has already withdrawn it's request for her resignation because of PC against their request. Perhaps this is why our politicians have such a hard time getting anything done. It seems they are stagnated. I was disappointed to read that she removed her post because of PC pressure. If that is her opinion she should have let it stand. I'm proud though that she refused to resign her position because of PC pressure. It's about the ability to voice an opinion that matters most.

College campuses have always been a hotbed of contentious issues of free speech. What pisses me off about this is that it shows where we have come in this nation. The mentality is, if you don't agree with me then you are wrong. People nowadays label anyone that doesn't agree with them as a terrorist, a trouble maker, and want their job. What the heck ever happened to being able to disagree without being disagreeable. Agree to disagree then go have a beer. You have your belief and I have mine, that is what we were founded on. For them to ask her to resign a post on campus she obviously earned, is Ludacris.
