The historic destruction of chemical munitions marked a high day for civilization. Other powers were not blocked so this was only a partial ban.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on June 1, 1990 during a superpowers summit meeting in Washington, D.C., U.S. President George H.W. Bush and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev signed a historic agreement to end production of chemical weapons and begin the destruction of both nations’ sizable reserves of them.

Thanks TSgt Joe C. but as SSgt Robert Marx indicated, others have not destroyed their chemical weapons and were recently used against their own people.
