World War II destroyed the British Empire, but it took Nazi Germany down with it. Sadly, it has not recovered as well as Germany. Still, but for one man's will, it would have fallen to Hitler and Hitler might have realized his dreams of a Thousand Year Reich. Just as Abraham Lincoln by his own will and force of character prevented America from being torn asunder, Winston Churchill held the British Isles together though he lost the Empire. This video, and its accompanying article, provide a glimpse of the fate that awaited us all has Churchill failed.

Barbarism inflicted by people of "sophisticated" and "cultured" members of the Christian faith...sin never changes; my ancestors were definitely on the persecuted side of the equation, but I would not be at all surprised if someone discovered ancestors on the persecutor side as well. We surely have learned our lesson and should no longer take part in the persecution of anyone or any class, ethnicity, or creed.
