A home is supposed to be a sanctuary, not a place where you feel fear. At least this vet had cameras and was able to capture the image of the thief. They should be able to capture him, but they'll never capture the sense of security that has been taken from them.

That is a really strange time to break in. Your odds of waking someone at this late hour are much higher. Break into my house that late in the day and I'll greet you at the door.
It really sucks that this happened. But I am thankful to hear everyone is okay.
