Combine this with the MEU all being issued supressors, and steps are being taken in the right direction. Anything that makes an American Service Member safer on the battlefield I am all for it.

A nice idea. The yellow/green combat earplugs were useful in protecting hearing and allowed close up conversations without yelling but this technology is long overdue. Now just hope the wired device doesn't become cumbersome to the tactical kit a soldier wears.

Hell yeah! Great idea. I didn't experience any battlefield fire, but I do have some slight ringing from people that did not clear their weapons at the clearing barrel & the echo of the armory is still in my ear.
