COL Ted Mc the Taliban is media savvy and knows that an attack on Kabul which is focused on government or security force infrastructure and personnel will garner them with worldwide media coverage.
They are in the early stages of their annual spring offensive. ISOS activity has already been reduced so there is less competition from other Wahhabi doctrine terrorist/insurgent groups.
