DC Police Force has 3,800 officers.
Capital Police Force has 1,800 officers.
5,600 Law Enforcement officers to control ten square blocks isn't enough?
This number does not even consider the number of Federal Law Enforcement Officers (both badged and gunned) that reside in the DC area. Or the numerous MOU and LOAs that exist between DC and Capital Police Departments with neighboring police agencies in Virginia and Maryland.
Posse Comitatus Act. Just saying, I'm pretty sure this is illegal, and has been since 1878.

SPC Randy Zimmerman - A (Roman) Praetorian Guard vexillum (banner). PREA = abbreviation for Praetorian.
