Oh I know, I have dealt with the IRS, but this is getting quite ridiculous. I have received more calls in the past few days than I normally do in a week. I have also had several more unknown or unrecognized numbers call me today..

Screen your phone calls with an answering machine and do not answer ANY from unknown or unrecognized numbers. Some scammers can/will spoof a number and have a caller id tag with US Government or IRS. The home phone has become a worthless call trap, when I have no longer have young kids I will get rid of the home phone, but for my mom, this phone number is important, so I keep it.
