Today one of our Air Commandos helped to honor a fallen Soldier.
After a tragic aircraft crash in March of this year, MSgt Clark had a large part in organizing the memorial service on base to honor the three Airmen we lost.
A short time after the accident Clark spoke about the impact that difficult time had on him at his local bible study. Local Clovis High School football coach, Coach Cal, happened to be attending the same bible study.
Coach Cal heard his testimony and was so moved by Clark's involvement with the memorial that he, knowing Clark is a huge Titans fan, secretly got a Tennessee Titans jersey signed by Rishard Mathews as a gift for Clark. Mathews played for CHS, and is now a starting wide receiver for the Titans.
To show his appreciation for Coach Cal and Mathews, Clark arranged to present an American flag that was flown in a sortie over Afghanistan to Mathews before the Titans preseason game today.
Mathews lost his brother in an aircraft incident in Afghanistan several years ago.
All of us have the responsibility to remember our fallen service members. You never know how your actions may impact the lives of others. #CannonStrong
