Texas bill could hand vaccine decisions in schools over to lawmakers

The article doesn't match up with the bill. Looking at the text of the bill* it states the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will prepare a list each year of required vaccinations - not lawmakers.

It furthermore restricts school administrators from adding or deleting required vaccinations to the list from DSHS, but can petition them to change and have it reviewed by the medical panel.

The only controversial aspect of the bill I saw was that it prohibits schools from mandating a COVID-19 vaccination for enrollment or continued attendance.

There has been an increase in diseases that were thought to be irradiated in the US because of decisions made by parents who fear vaccinations of any kind. We must follow the science on this since the efficacy of these vaccinations are well established.
