Well, the story ended as such: The attorney who bought the tank in France (from a museum that was closing) and had it delivered to his house in Texas kept it in the street. (The total for shipping and importation fees was $600,000.00.) The local police helped him to park it in front of his house. The HOA didn't have any rules regarding the prohibition of military weaponry on the city street in front of a house. So there it sat. The attorney said there was nothing the HOA could do about it and it would be his decision if and when to move it. He eventually moved it to his ranch after he received several parking tickets from the city. Supposedly it is now used to run over things, like cars.

Thank you sharing my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for task an purpose, which I receive daily, that Houston attorney Tony Buzbee is going to battle with his homeowner’s association after purchasing a fully restored World War II M4 Sherman tank and parking it in his upscale River Oaks, Texas neighborhood. “Took a year to get here but now it’s on River Oaks Boulevard,” owner Tony Buzbee told KHOU news site. “This particular tank landed at Normandy. It liberated Paris and ultimately went all the way to Berlin. There’s a lot of history here.”
Hopefully this attorney will be successful since the tank is incapable of firing it's 75 mm main gun or coaxial machine guns.

Yes Ma'am, they are upset. This is from late last year but I don't know how it turned out.

David, if I recall he ended up moving it, but on his schedule not theirs. I still say he should have kept it, at least until they voted up another covenant.

Maj Robert Thornton - I guess the HOA could hire a big crane to move it. Otherwise what could they do besides kick him out of the association. They'd still need to move it! LOL
