Your implication is that Soldiers whose MOS is Military Police are inferior to Infantrymen is a disservice to Military Police and every Soldier. 24 years as a Chaplain taught me that all Soldiers are important to the mission and none are less that the other. We are a team, each with his/her strengths. RallyPoint needs to reevaluate what is news worthy. Any service member, past or present, would have never presented this story as is was.

SPC Devon Davis - I was enlisted '73-'76 serving as a 98C Intelligence Analyst with the Army Security Agency, assigned to the National Security Agency. After I ETS I enlisted in the Reserves as a 11B Mortarman. I then transferred into the PA National Guard as an Artilleryman in a 105 howitzer unit. In the meantime I went to college and seminary and then returned to active duty in '92 as a Chaplain. I've carried, fired, and cleaned a lot of weapons during those years. As you may know Chaplains are not permitted to carry weapons. We're assigned Chaplain Assistants, in addition to their many other duties, they provide security for the Chaplain and themselves, i.e., Unit Ministry Team. I have one hazardous duty tour and one combat tour to my credit.
I'm at a loss why you would you would respond to my post in the manner that you did and use the word you did. I served with honor the men and woman and their families who served our great nation. It would have been honor to have served as your unit Chaplain as well. God Bless.

With all due respect, they were trying to use minimal force to bring him down without anyone getting hurt.
If they wanted they could have seriously injured him, or simply broken out a baton or taser.

Personally, I don't see where they are really having a problem. They are treating him with kid gloves.
